I’ve retired three times and am hoping this time it “sticks”.  Having been in education most of my adult life, I now find myself back in school.  Taking Creative Writing courses at CGCC has been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself, and I realized recently that I am finding my “voice”.  Writing has been a dream since I was about ten years old and I feel blessed that I am now able to have the opportunity to pursue something I love.  I have two beautiful, intelligent, kind and loving adult children.  I had no idea that being a mom could get better than when they were little.  But it is.  Traveling to Italy two years ago and seeing it through their eyes was sort of like watching them at ages ten and five on Christmas morning. It was one of the highlights of my life, standing on top of San Gimignano, Italy with them that sunny day.  I have no idea where this blog will take me. But as Pema Chodron would say, if you sit in the present, the future simply unfolds.
